<\/a><\/p>\nThe S5 and the new S1 from Magico<\/a>. Unfortunately I had no opportunity to listen to the S1, but i listened to the S5 and wasn’t impressed. In fact it was the same impression I had with the Q3 at the last years HighEnd Stockholm Hifi Show.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The SA Mantra series from SystemAudio<\/a>. I listened to the Mantra 70 and it sounded good with nice fast bass and it was paired with new prototype electronics from Primare.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Loudspeakers from Blumenhofer Acoustics<\/a>. Interesteing concept with adjustable (time alignment) compression horn driver and the sound was quite nice.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The new Venere 1.5 from Sonus Faber<\/a>. They sounded very nice, but on the other hand this is my type of favorite loudspeaker genre! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Blade and R series of concentric loudspeakers from KEF<\/a>. The Blade reference system (top picture) offered one of the best sounds of the Hifi show. They had great bass with a huge sound stage and a bit forward sounding. Very good!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Volterra and Siena from Rosso Fiorentino<\/a>. Very nice sounding loudspeakers.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Loudspeakers from Totem Acoustic<\/a> driven by electronics from Electrocompaniet. Nothing special in my opinion.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The QM10 from Guru<\/a>. Unfortunately, these where only on display.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Alexia from Wilson Audio<\/a>. It was played very strong in a very large room, but sounded quite good even though the tweeter was a bit exaggerated.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Left:<\/strong> From Ukraine, the Contrast<\/a> loudspeakers. They where driven by tube amps and especially the stand-mount loudspeaker sounded quite nice even though it was very light in the bass region. According to the manufacturer they have a high sensitivity of about 93dB and they have wooden phase plugs and wooden details in the loudspeaker cones.<\/p>\n Right:<\/strong> The Berlin II mini monitor from dc10audio<\/a> using a horn and what they call an \u201cinternal tonewood resonator — the “Instrument” paired with a 6.5\u201d Peerless HDS driver. Unfortunately I didn\u2019t have the opportunity to listen to these odd looking stand-mount loudspeakers. Dc10audio claims a sensitivity of 94dB, which is of course ridiculous considering that the used mid-woofer is expected to give 8-10dB lower sensitivity in such a design.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Oval series K1 from VividAudio<\/a>.<\/p>\n Left:<\/strong> I was amazed that people sat and listened to a broken loudspeaker (tweeter) and enjoyed it!<\/p>\n Right:<\/strong> The broken D50 tweeter supposed to cover the 900-4000Hz range.<\/p>\n Note!<\/strong> The non \u201cHighEnd\u201d style of cable and connectors.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Swedish Caveman “Bauta” from nofrills audio<\/a> using an OEM version of the Beyma 15XA38Nd 15\u201d co-axial driver.<\/p>\n Usually we talk about high WAF factor (Wife Acceptance Factor), but here we talk about high WDF (Wife Divorce Factor) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<\/a>
