It uses a sliced paper cone where the slices are filled with damping glue, which dramatically reduces breakup modes in the diaphragm. It has an extremely smooth frequency response without any visible cone break-ups. The on-axis frequency response is incredibly\u00a0 extended and goes up to 5kHz where its slowly and controllable starts to roll-off.<\/p>\n<p>This driver can be used up to 3kHz without &#8220;beaming&#8221; becomes an issue which is very good considering its size of 95cm\u00b2. It uses the Scan-Speaks low-loss linear suspension and the patented Symmetrical Drive (SD-1).<\/p>\n<p>This driver is one of the very best mid-woofers on the market and with a nice mid-range clarity, great woofer capabilities and an overall smooth frequency response characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>ScanSpeak spec sheet: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audioexcite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/15w-4531g00.pdf\">15W\/4531G00<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>T\/S Parameters:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.audioexcite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/TS-Parameter_15w-4531G00.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-577 alignleft\" title=\"TS-Parameter_15w-4531G00\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.audioexcite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/TS-Parameter_15w-4531G00.jpg\" width=\"323\" height=\"202\" \/><\/a>The mid-woofers where burnt-in with a signal generator for 24 hours before measuring the T\/S parameters.
